Teens for Jeans

Do something to help the homeless. Go through your closet. Bring any brand of your gently worn jeans to Aeropostale, located at Upper Level Center Court, and Aero will donate them to a local teen shelter.

The EPA named JCPenney the 2007 Energy Star Partner of the Year for its efforts to reduce energy consumption at its stores.

On Saturday afternoon, Alum Rock Baptist Church performed a portion of their upcoming holiday musical, followed by Silver Creek High School Band.

This afternoon, we were thrilled to host Scion The Band near Barnes & Noble and Trade Secret for some fun and relaxing jazz.

Santa wishes to thank the 20 children who joined him for breakfast fun this morning at Eastridge, from 10am to 11am at Lower Level Center Court.  All guests were able to enjoy a hot breakfast from McDonald’s, listened to a story The Night Before Christmas read by Santa, receive a gift bag with treats, along with a personal visit with Santa telling him their true holiday wish for this season.

$100 was raised from the breakfast to benefit Habitat for Humanity Silicon Valley.  A big thanks for Santa’s Elf Clariza Saclolo for helping to put together such a great breakfast!

Eastridge was excited to host its second annual charity shopping night, Festival of Giving on Sunday, November 18th. More than 500 guests joined us for the event which raised more than $10,000 for local schools and non-profit groups.

The night’s special guests included San Jose native JJ Heller, traveling with her husband from Nashville to bring us her newest tunes from her newest album, The Pretty & The Plain.

A special silent auction was held to benefit Habitat for Humanity Silicon Valley. Half a dozen gift baskets including a diamond necklace and earrings set donated by Gordon’s Jewelers, DKNY Be Delicous and Tommy Fragrance baskets donated by Macy’s Fragrance, Craftsmen toolbox donated by Habitat for Humanity, as well as a cooks basket with the newest Rachael Ray Just in Time: All-New 30-Minute Meals cookbook, Santa Photo Package with holiday storybooks basket, 4-pack AMC movie ticket with snacks and popcorn tub, and Rudolph DVDs with animated Rudolph plush put together by the Eastridge team. We are pleased to raised over $600 through this auction to help bring families home here in the Silicon Valley.

Eastridge continues to help raise awareness and funds for Habitat for Humanity Silicon Valley through a Giving Tree near Entrance C, between Barnes & Noble and Bed Bath & Beyond. Purchase a Giving Tree Donation Ticket for $5, $25, $50, or $100 today at Customer Service Center. Re-useable shopping bag is also sold at Customer Service for $2 each to benefit the organization and reduce the use of plastic bags.

Last but not least, the first 250 guests who joined the event received a special gift including the current issue of San Jose Magazine, Thanksgiving side-dish receipes from Domino Magazine, Eastridge mugs, coupons from Eastridge shops along with exclusive discounts to over 50 shops at Eastridge just 6pm to 9pm on that evening.

Eastridge is proud to kick-off our round of holiday cheer starting this weekend on Saturday, December 1st and Sunday, December 2nd.  Come support your local student groups and artists:

On Saturday, December 1st from 3pm to 4pm, 33 students from Chaboya Middle School lead by Ms. Karen Kolber will be performing in Lower Level Center Court near Barnes & Noble and Trade Secret from 3pm to 4pm.

At 4pm, you would not want to miss Steve Caballero who will be doing an autograph signing and meet-and-greet at the new Vans store in Upper Level Center Court.

At 7pm pm, Alum Rock Baptish Church’s Hand Bell Choir will be performing near Starbucks and Santa’s Reindeer Forest.

On Sunday, December 2nd, student group Muse Band Program will be performing at Lower Level Center Court at 3pm.  The program is led by Ms. Lisa Marie Baratta.
