All of us at Eastridge have followed the story of James Kim - a San Francisco father who passed away after Thanksgiving in Oregon trying to save his wife, Kati Fleming, and their two small children Penelope and Sabine. A family member of one of our Mall Management Team staff remembers James and Kati from a business meeting. We are encouraged by James’ example of love and dedication, while reminded of the importance to express love and care to those around us.
We realize as neighbors, we can be a community who send hope and encouargement to the Kim and Fleming families. From now until December 24th, Eastridge Customer Service, located Upper Level Center Court, will help to collect donation to a fund that the Kim family plans to set up. Please make checks payable to “The James Kim Memorial Fund.” You can also send prayers and words of encouragement via letters and cards, which might be included in a time capsule for James and Kati’s girls. Eastridge will mail all donation to CNet Networks, where James was senior editor for close to three years. Click here to read articles or watch the CNET TV tribute to James Kim.
