Eastridge gives the Bay Area Community an opportunity to celebrate the coming of the Year of the Pig at THE LUNAR NEW YEAR CELEBRATION on Saturday, February 17th from 2pm to 4pm. THE LUNAR NEW YEAR CELEBRATION is a joint effort with Sing Tao Newspaper and Sing Tao Radio AM1400 and FM96.1 to help celebrate Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, the most important traditional Asian holiday. It is also celebrated by other ethnic groups who are influenced by Chinese culture including Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, and other Asian American groups. The program showcases two spring fashion shows with causal and formal wear, various talent performances, as well as special discounts from selected retailers and prize giveaways.
