Kid’s Fun Day at Eastridge
Kids and families sure had fun during today’s 4th annual Kid’s Fun Day, put together by East Side Schools Children’s Health Initiative. The event was held in Lower Level Center Court. Kid’s Fun Day’s main focus was to provide enrollment for various affordable health insurance programs including medical, dental, and vision care for children. Kindergarten registration, oral health assessments, and vision screengings were provided at no cost. Kid’s Fun Day was one of the responses from the county’s health initiative to help identify and enroll uninsured children through strong collaborations with school districts.

First 5 Santa Clara County provided free kits for new parents, child care resources, breast feeding support and special needs children services information. Other participating organizations included Migrant Education Program, Santa Clara County Dental Society, Asian Americans for Community Involvement, Latino College Preparatory Academy, and more.
